Ireland Women name squad for tour of England

Cricket Ireland have named their women's squad this morning which will play world champions England, New Zealand and MCC in England next month.
Coach Paul Delany said of the squad: "The team is built around the experience of sisters Heather and Jill Whelan who will open the bowling. We are well covered in the spin department with Ciara Metcalfe and the Joyce twins.
"The established batters such as Clare Shillington, the Joyce sisters and Jill Whelan will be supported by some new faces in all rounders Laura Delany, Kim Garth and pace bowler Louise McCarthy who were part of the Under 17 European winning team last season.
"Wicket-keeper Mary Waldron will make her debut and another new player, exciting batting prospect Sinead Lyons from Leinster joins the tour party. The selection very much reflects current form with all of the new players scoring runs and taking wickets.
"This will be a tough tour but these are the teams the players want to beat and with three more weeks of hard training and planning these are the teams we are ready for that challenge." The squad in full is as follows:
