Event technical committee confirms changes in squads for ICC World Cricket League Division 1

The ICC has confirmed the event technical committee of the ICC World Cricket League Division 1 has approved changes in the Netherlands, Ireland and Scotland squads for the tournament which will be staged in the Netherlands from 1 to 10 July.
Adeel Raja will replace Ryan ten Doeschate in the Netherlands side, James Hall and Andrew Balbirnie will replace Andre Botha and Gary Wilson, respectively, for Ireland while will Moneeb Iqbal will take over from Josh Davey in the Scotland side.
The confirmations of the replacements were conveyed to Noninkjijke Nederlandse Cricket Board (KNCB), Cricket Ireland and Cricket Scotland on behalf of the committee today (Friday).
Raja, the 29-year-old off-spinner, has played in 11 ODIs in which he has taken 12 wickets while Iqbal, the 24-year-old leg-spinner, has represented Scotland in two ODIs. Iqbal was a member of the Scotland squads that participated in the ICC U19 Cricket World Cups in 2002 and 2004 in New Zealand and Bangladesh.
Balbirnie captained Ireland in the ICC U19 Cricket World Cup in New Zealand earlier this year in which he scored 294 runs in eight matches. Balbirnie's team-mate Hall is also yet to make his international debut. He, however, played in the U19 qualifier and took 4-22 against Denmark.
The event technical committee of the ICC World Cricket League Division 1 consists of David Richardson (ICC General Manager - Cricket and event technical committee chairman), Rob Kemming (tournament director), Richard Done (ICC representative), Rene van Ierschot (KNCB representative), Chris Kelly (independent nomination) and Keith Bradshaw (independent nomination).
On the opening day of the tournament, defending champion Ireland will take on Kenya at VOC, host the Netherland will face Scotland at VRA while Afghanistan will go head to head with Canada at VCC.
