Germany qualify for World Cricket League Division 8

Germany has become the last team to qualify for the Pepsi ICC World Cricket Division 8 after securing second place at the ICC European WCL Division Two Championship on Monday.

Although it finished level on points with France, the Germans secured the runners-up spot on the virtue that it had defeated France earlier in the tournament.

The line-up for the tournament will see Germany join Bahamas, Bhutan, Gibraltar, Kuwait, Suriname, Vanuatu and Zambia in the eight-team event.

The Division 8 event will be held in Kuwait between 6-12 November with the top two sides progressing to Division 7 in Botswana in 2011.
