Guernsey received a boost ahead of next year's Pepsi ICC World Cricket League Division 6 clash with arch rivals Jersey when it won the annual inter-insular event between the two sides last weekend.
A Jersey XI made 195-9 in its 50 overs, with Ed Farley making 40, before Jeremy Frith guided a Guernsey XI to a six-wicket victory with 56 not out.
He received good support from Ian Atchinson (40) and captain Stuart le Prevost (31 not out).
"Frithy obviously batted superbly, " Stuart le Prevost told BBC Jersey. "Not one of his most fluent knocks, but one of the most important."
Jersey's national coach Craig Hogan paid tribute to the Guernsey XI's performance, but lamented his side's poor showing.
"It was a long way short of the standards we want to set in the field, with the bat and with the ball," he said.
