Cyprus produced its best bowling performance of the week to win the European Division Four Championships on net run rate in Happy Valley on Sunday.
The hosts tied with Switzerland at the top of the table, after both teams won four of its five games, and the earlier finish to the Swiss' game against Luxembourg meant Cyprus knew exactly what it had to do to win the tournament.
If it restricted Finland to 135 or less, then its run-rate would be superior to the Swiss and it bowled out the Finns for 99 to win the game by 94 runs and secure promotion to Division Three.
Switzerland beat Luxembourg by four wickets in its final game but the host's victory over Finland was enough to deny the Swiss the title and keep it in Division Four.
Aseem Nasir set up the victory with five wickets for 10 runs as Luxembourg was bowled out for 88 and Switzerland lost six wickets but took only 15.1 overs to win the match.
In the final game of the day, Austria recorded an easy win over Slovenia by eight wickets. After restricting its opponents to 72 in 40.1 overs, Austria needed only seven overs to win with the loss of two wickets.
