Ireland players pass on tips to local youngsters
Players from the Ireland team today ran a training session for young pupils of the Saint Soldier International School, Changidarh.
George Dockrell and Boyd Rankin both gave the youngsters some bowling tips while century-maker Kevin O’Brien gave one lucky youngster one of his playing shirts.
The children were members of the school team that competed in the ICC's Think Wise mini-World Cup competition in the build-up to the CWC.
As well as comprising cricket competitions for schools in all of the host cities, this Think Wise initiative also ensured thousands of participants received education on issues relating to HIV and AIDS.
Think Wise is a global partnership involving ICC, UNAIDS and UNICEF which is helping to raise awareness and reduce stigma about HIV and AIDS.
