Under 23 European 2nd Division Championships

The favourites to contest the final of the European 2nd Division Championships, Jersey and hosts Guernsey will be praying for a dry day on Wednesday if they are to have a chance of making it to Thursday's decider.
Almost incessant rain ended any hope of play at any venue in Guernsey on Tuesday, the day when the favourites were due to play their first games.
But Jersey's game against Germany and Guernsey's clash with France were both called off in late afternoon when another downpour ended hopes of even a Twenty20 game. The tournament organisers even tried to switch venues but rain wiped out that possibility as wel. All four teams get one point.
It leaves Jersey and Guernsey with must win games today, against Gibraltar and Italy respectively, to allow them to top their respective groups, otherwise Monday's winners, Gibraltar and France will go through to Thursday's final.
