Captains discuss finals of ICC Intercontinental Cup and Shield on this week?s ICC Cricket World Radi
On this week's ICC Cricket World audio show the captains of Scotland, UAE and Namibia all talk about the current ICC Intercontinental Cup and Shield finals that they are currently playing in Dubai.
Scotland captain Gordon Drummond feels his team is ready for the challenges Afghanistan will set them during the course of the teams' five-day final that got underway today at Dubai Sports City International Stadium.
"We know Afghanistan is a strong side but we also know we have the skill and ability to beat them over the course of this five-day final," says Drummond.
"We're looking forward to this game and we've got a good mixture of youth and experience in the side that I hope will help us along the way," he adds.
Joining Drummond on this week's show are the captains of UAE and Namibia, Khurram Khan and Craig Williams, with both sides feeling confident ahead of the I Shield final that began today at the ICC's Global Cricket Academy in Dubai.
"Namibian cricket is in a rebuilding process and I think we're well on our way back from a previous slump. We're definitely looking to exact some revenge on the UAE after they travelled to Namibia and defeated us earlier in the year," says Williams.
The show can be used in whole or part by radio stations that want cricket content, while the public can also download it straight from the ICC website at
