Warriors and Knights resume Regional Series
The Cricket Scotland Regional Series of matches at the start of the season helped to identify those up-and-coming players who looked ready to step up into senior representative cricket for the 2010 season. Now, with the end-of-season return matches, the search continues for the top players who will continue their training through the winter period.
The first match is on Sunday 5 September, between the Western Warriors and Eastern Knights, at the Bothwell Policies ground of Uddingston Cricket Club, starting at 11.45am. The other two matches in the series will be played the following weekend, as follows:
•Saturday September 11 Caledonian Highlanders v Western Warriors at Arbroath CC (Lochlands)
•Sunday September 12 Eastern Knights v Caledonian Highlanders at Grange CC (Portgower Place)
The squads for the first game have been selected, as shown below, but missing from the Knights squad is Scotland batsman Neil McCallum, whose wife has just given birth to their first child.
