Fire in Babylon a real smash hit
Not often does cricket make it in to the movies and not often they are blockbuster hits such as Bend it like Beckham or the recently released Senna.

Now there is one to enjoy and be blown away by the story of courage and triumph, it's called Fire In Babylon. It is the exhilarating tale of how the oppressed people of the West Indies fought back ad triumphed over its colonial masters; through the remarkable achievements of one of sport's most iconic teams, the great West Indies cricket team.

The synopsis reads, "In a turbulent era of apartheid in South Africa; race riots in England and civil unrest in Caribbean, the West Indies cricketers, led by the enigmatic Viv Richard, struck a wonderfully defiant blow at the forces of white prejudice worldwide."

As one of the greatest teams in the sport of cricket, they should be enjoyed and congratulated for their undisputed skill and fearless spirit, which allowed them dominate the game at the highest level replaying it on their terrifying terms.

Fire in Babylon is their story, a compelling story of how the under dogs ruled the world with speed and power.

The DVD includes special feature interviews with Geoffrey Boycott, David Gower, Allan Lamb and Imran Khan giving an incredible insight into what it was like to face the most feared attack in cricket history.

Fire In Babylon is an exciting story to enjoy over and over again as England spinner, Graeme Swann tweeted, "If you like your bowlers seriously fast and your batsmen smashing it all over, you have to watch Fire in Babylon. It's decent." And decent it is.
