Majid, Mudassar star on final day
Majid Haq's maiden first-class hundred and Mudassar Bukhari's maiden five-wicket haul were the biggest talking points on the fourth and final day of the inaugural match in ICC Intercontinental Cup 2011-13.

At the Mannofield Park, Aberdeen, the opening match between Scotland and Netherlands ended in a draw as both sides took seven points apiece from the game.

In a match marred by rain, the final day's play began with Scotland at its overnight score of 237 for 3. The hosts collapsed to end at 307 in 107 overs.

The only bright spot was Majid Haq (120 not out: 292b, 9x4). For Netherlands, Mudassar Bukhari picked up 5-79. The other wicket-takers were Berend Westdijk (2-45) and skipper Peter Borren (2-84).

In its reply, Netherlands were well served by a 140-run opening stand between Michael Swart (64: 132b, 8x4, 1x6) and Neil Kruger (91: 150b, 9x4, 1x6).

Later handy knocks by Mudassar (50: 48b, 1x4, 4x6) and Tim de Grooth (43: 38b, 32b, 2x6) pushed Netherlands close to the Scotland effort.

But in the end Netherlands fell short by just two runs of taking home the bonus points. With figures of 2-85, Majid was the best bowler on view. The most successful bowler for Scotland was Preston Mommsen (3-67).
