Scotland's clubs vote to change league structure

Scotland's top cricket clubs have voted 18-12 in favour of the league changes proposed by Cricket Scotland, to take effect from season 2011.

After the vote, which took place last week, Cricket Scotland's officials will further analyse some of the feedback from the voting process before taking steps to set up the new leagues.

Roddy Smith, chief executive, said to the Cricket Scotland website: "We are, of course, delighted at the backing that our proposals received, as it represents a solid majority of the clubs involved. We are also determined to take account of the comments made by the clubs and district associations in their responses, and we are therefore making no further statements about what happens next until we have given them our due consideration."
