Ireland Under 19 loses to Jersey Under 19

Ireland Under 19 lost to Jersey Under 19 by 121 runs in the second game of the European Regional Series Challenge being played at Les Quennevais.
Jersey batted first and posted 248 for two in its 50 overs. The feature of the innings was a 189-run third wicket stand between Corne Bodenstein (105: 173b, 11 x 4) and Ben Stevens (90: 119b, 7x4, 2x6).
For Ireland the only wicket-taker was Tyrone Kane (1-1.
Ireland's chase never really took off. The only batsmen to offer any sort of resistance were Barry McCarthy (25), Jason van der Merwe (19) and Tyrone Kane (17).
Ireland was finally bowled out for just 127. For Jersey Charles Perchard (3-17) and Ben Stevens (3-21) were the main wicket-takers.
The final match of the series will be played on Wednesday.
