Ireland register comprehensive win in the first ODI

Ireland completed a comprehensive 133-run win over Canada in the Associate and Affiliate 50-over league match against Canada at the Clontarf Cricket Club in Dublin on Monday.
Batting first Ireland posted 328 for six in its 50 overs. Leading the way for the hosts were Ed Joyce (88: 98b, 8x4, 1x6) and skipper William Porterfield (67: 75b, 5x4) as they added 119 runs for the second wicket.
Later in the innings, Gary Wilson (56: 36b, 4x4, 2x6) provided much needed fillip to the innings alongside Niall (37)and Kevin O'Brien (35).
For Canada, Khurram Chohan picked up 3-65.
Canada's chase never took off as it lost wickets at regular intervals. Usman Limbada (50: 81b, 6x4) and Rizwan Cheema (36) were the only batsmen to offer any resistance at it lost wickets at regular intervals.
Canada was finally bowled out for 195 in 48.4 overs.
For Ireland John Mooney (4-27) and Trent Johnston (2-14) were the key wicket-takers.
