Scotland's Ryan Flannigan scored a gritty 102 on the opening day of the ICC Intercontinental Cup match against hosts Namibia at the Wanderers Cricket Ground in Windhoek, on Friday.
Flannigan's 102 off 222 balls with 17 boundaries and a six helped Scotland end the opening day of the four-day match at 268 for seven off 96 overs.
The only other important contributor to the Scotland score was Kyle Coetzer (62: 135b, 12x4). Flannigan and Coetzer added 113 runs for the third wicket in the only major partnership of the day as wickets at regular intervals.
For the hosts Christi Viljoen picked up 3-71 and ended as the best bowler on the opening day.
