Scotland rounded off its Namibia tour with a second win in two games in the 50-over League at the Wanderers Cricket Ground in Windhoek on Monday.
Scotland posted a narrow three-wicket win with one ball to spare via the Duckworth-Lewis method.
Batting first Namibia posted 266 for eight in its 50 overs. The key scorers for Namibia were Sarel Burger (82: 109b, 4x4) and skipper Craig Williams (116: 117b, 8x4, 5x6). The duo added 191 runs for the third wicket to propel the home team.
For Scotland, Gordon Goudie with figures of 4-55 was the best bowler on view.
In its chase, Scotland lost early wickets. Thereafter there was a rain interruption with the Scotland score at 101 for 2 after 24 overs.
The Scotland target was re-arranged and it was now asked to chase down the score of 247 off 45 overs. Kyle Coetzer (98: 107b, 10x4) was the top-scorer for Scotland. Josh Davey (48: 94b, 2x4) was the other key contributor.
In the end Richie Berrington held his nerves to shepherd the chase in the climatic final overs. The match finally ended in the final over with one ball to spare. Scotland ended at 247 for seven in 44.5 overs.
For Namibia, Kolata Burger (2-46), Louis van der Westhuizen (2-50), Gerrie Snyman (2-39) were the key wicket-takers.
