Cyprus Cricket in association with International Cricket Council (ICC) conducted a UK CC Level 2 Course through Pepsi ICC Development Program Europe from October 28 - 30, 2011 at The Heritage Private School in Limassol, Cyprus.

The course was delivered by Graeme Rickman of Cheshire Cricket Board and was attended by PE teachers from American Academy School, Heritage Private School, and members of Moufflons and Dhekelia Cricket Club. The coaching weekend provided the newly qualified coaches great learning opportunity and helped them further develop their cricket coaching skills. The diverse group of participants made the course even more interesting as the participants benefitted enormously from each other’s input.

Muhammad Husain, Chairman Cyprus Cricket Association commented “The Coach Education Program is important for the development of the game in the Republic of Cyprus. It was good to see Graeme back in Cyprus to conduct the course and hopefully, the newly qualified coaches will help develop cricket in Cyprus.

“Cyprus Cricket has planned for Cyprus Performance Coaching Camp week in April 2012 and the newly qualified coaches will be given opportunity to work alongside European coaches to gain experience and develop skills required to undertake the ECB Coach Development Workshops,” concluded Husain.
