The popular Rathbones Spring Term Cricket Courses commence in January 2012 and will again be providing great opportunities for boys and girls to enjoy cricket and learn new skills and techniques
The courses will be run by qualified coaches and cater for children in school years 3 to 8 at various venues across Jersey – Wednesdays at Oakfield and Fridays at Les Quennevais and Langford.
"Almost all the players currently representing Jersey in International Tournaments started learning their cricket skills on these courses – we are very grateful for Rathbones’ continued support for this programme which is a vital part of our development process," stated Chris Minty of the Jersey Cricket Board.
Jonathan Giles, Managing Director of Rathbone Investment Management said " Cricket remains a tremendous example of how sport should be played and we are delighted to see a growing number of children involved through this JCB initiative. The spirit of cricket states you should ‘play hard and play fair’ and these are great values to instil," concluded Giles.
