Scholarship place to run alongside Men's Academy
As the ICC European Men's Academy enters its twelfth year, ICC Europe has put together a varied and highly skilled coaching team to help develop each participation to their maximum.
Being held between 26 February-7 March the team lead by ICC Regional Performance Officer, Philip Hudson includes ECB's Head of Elite Coach Development, Gordon Lord; Mark Nash, Strength and Conditioning Specialist and Sports Psychologist, Joce Brooks.
The academy is held in Pune, India is a fantastic location and ICC Europe Regional Development Manager, Nick Pink is delighted with the set-up and is looking forward to the Academy. "This is one of Europe's flagship events and we have an excellent coaching team and facilities to ensure, each and every participant get a tailored programme to develop their skills," said Pink.
From the thirteen participants, one is attending alongside the ICC European Men's Academy thanks to the Global Cricket School Scholarship prize. Gibraltar's Christian Rocco picked the prize at the ICC Presidents' Day in 2011 in which funds were raised for the Trevor Henry Memorial Fund and selected Iain Latin to take up the place.
Latin is delighted by the opportunity, "I am very fortunate to attend the academy on behalf of a scholarship. I was very happy as the academy programme is always something I've wanted to do, I am looking forward to working with different coaches and players," said Latin.
The ICC European Men's Academy is funded by the ICC Development Programme as a performance event in order to help develop players at a National level or progressing to that level.
