July has been a busy month for the Women's Netherlands and the hectic schedule looks set to continue.
It includes the ECB county championship matches, a visit by the MCC to The Netherlands, the ECB T20 tournament, and to top it off the ICC European Women's T20 Qualifier in Belfast, Northern Ireland in August. In between the top-25 players in The Netherlands meet in a Challenge Series consisting of two 40-over matches and a T20 doubleheader.
The team has been practicing hard with fitness and specialised bowling and batting sessions at the Kampong cricket club in Utrecht. They particularly focused on batting in T20's, as the European Women's T20 qualifier in August will be of great importance to the team.
Apart from the physical preparation, the team has launched an initiative and put together a short video to explain women's cricket in the Netherlands and what it means to them.
