Sorensen, Cusack bowl Ireland to position of strength

After two days of washout, the ICC Intercontinental Cup match between host Ireland and Afghanistan finally got underway on Wednesday.
Ireland after electing to field first bowled out Afghanistan, led by Karim Sadiq, for just 84. For Ireland, Max Sorensen (4-39) and Alex Cusack (4-31) were the key wicket-takers.
By the end of the day's play, Ireland had logged a lead of 42. Paul Stirling (42) led the way for the host. At stumps Cusack was unbeaten on 34 and had a healthy 61 runs for the third wicket with Gary Wilson.
Ireland will resume fourth and final day of the match at 126-2.
