Rain once again interrupted play in the ICC Intercontinental Cup after the Netherlands ended the opening day against the UAE on 118-3.

Steven du Bruin (8) fell early on, before Wesley Barresi (52) and skipper Michael Swart (33) added 64 for the second wicket.

However, both fell to Mohammad Tauqir before play ended early for the day due to rain.

The UAE went into the match in fourth place in the table, while the Netherlands is currently in 6th position.
