Inaugural KNCB coaches conference a great success
The inaugural KNCB Coaches Conference turned out to be a huge success. Over 20 coaches including several from Belgium and Estonia enjoyed a full day of a number of workshops; delivered by a wide range of presenters.

The conference which ran from 20-21 April in the Netherlands provided a unique opportunity for coaches from across Europe to attend numerous high quality workshops over one weekend. Philip Hudson of ICC Europe delivered on the importance of training the core batting principles; Johan Scholvinck presented a highly interesting workshop on eye training. Min Patel made spin coaching look a lot easier than most coaches think, Atse Buurman KNCB National Team’s Strength & Conditioning coach spoke about the importance of developing core strength, Kelly Evenson and Richard Cox talked about match day preparation and Subir Shestra gave an insight into the new and exciting Street20 Cricket programme rolling out across Europe.

The KNCB is grateful for the support that was given by ICC Europe to make the conference possible and is keen to make this an annual event not only benefitting the Dutch coaches but also those of neighbouring countries.
