On Friday 17th May, The National women's cricket team will travel to Thoiry, located 30 miles west of Paris to compete in a 30 over game, a T20 fixture.
The trip will also include a training morning for both sides which will see Jersey coaches Gemma Dunning & Flo Copley assisting the French National Coach David Bordes with numerous drills and exercises. The ground is among some 150 acres of land which includes a chateaux, zoo and botanical gardens, quite a unique and exciting venue to play cricket.
During this trip Jersey will try and defend the Oliver Dubaut Trophy in a 30 over game and one which Jersey hope to be successful having won the title in 2011 and 2012.
At Present the Jersey ladies remain undefeated in T20 cricket which is no mean feat, however with numerous womens teams visiting the island this year such as Guernsey and a London club side Spencer CC, the girls will have to work hard to retain this accolade.
