Balancing cricket with a career of Physiotherapy in football

Like the majority of Associate and Affiliate cricketers around the world balancing a career with playing cricket is par for the course and Gibraltar Captain Iain Latin is no different although his career also gives him a professional experience in another sport.
Gibraltarian born and raised Latin graduated from Sheffield Hallam University with a Bsc (Hons) in Physiotherapy 8 years ago and he is a Senior Physiotherapist for the Gibraltar Health Authority.
However over the last few years Iain has started working with the Gibraltar Football Association as the National team Physiotherapist. Latin talked about his role, "As a sportsman this was an area in my profession I had a keen interest in and initially it involved covering some friendly matches once or twice a year".
Things changed for the sport in May 2013 as Gibraltar were accepted as a UEFA Member and this has taken things to another level as he explains, "Since UEFA membership I have had the privilege of attending UEFA led medical symposiums and Fitness and Rehab Conferences and Courses across Europe and I now have a full international calendar with the European Championship Qualifiers to look forward to which will include fixtures against Germany".
Hard hitting batsman Latin will put his physio role to one side though during Pepsi ICC Europe Division 2 this summer as he hopes to lead his side towards cricketing glory.
