Introduction to the German captain

Excitement is building ahead of the Pepsi ICC Europe Division 2 in Essex, six European countries fighting it out for one promotional spot to the Pepsi ICC Europe Division 1 next year. The Deutscher Cricket Bund tells us the story of their captain.
Captain Rishi Pillai was born in Pune, India and gathered his early cricketing experience by playing at district level and at the All-India Inter University Championships. He moved to Germany in 2004 and played in the 2nd Division in Holland for two years representing Heerlen CC. In 2007 he started playing for German club side, Köln CC and has captained the side since 2008.
Under his captaincy, the club has won five state titles and the national championship in 2012. The talented all-rounder has been representing Germany since 2010 and will lead the team for the first time in the Pepsi ICC Europe Division 2 tournament in Essex.
