Cricket Scotland and Netherlands Cricket Board are delighted to announce the schedule for the second edition of the North Sea Pro Series.
This year’s format is confined to a T20 format to allow both nations to focus on preparing for the ICC World T20 Qualifiers, which will be held in Scotland and Ireland in June 2015.
There will be 12 fixtures in the competition known as the North Sea 20 Pro Series (NS20), which will see a number of two games a day ‘double-headers’ to maximise the action for players and fans alike.
The opening weekend of the series takes place on 8th May at Titwood, Glasgow with last year’s T20 and 50 over Champions, Highlanders, taking on the Reivers in the West of Scotland.
The following week will see the Scottish Pro teams travel over to the Netherlands where the Seafarers will play the Reivers and the Hurricanes entertaining the Highlanders.
Cricket Scotland’s Director of Cricket Andy Tennant said, “We are delighted to be building on the success of last year’s North Sea Pro Series, with a bespoke and punchy T20 competition throughout May. It will again give both our existing and aspiring T20 specialists and opportunity to stake a claim for inclusion in the WT20Q in July, and give our public an opportunity to watch some exciting cricket and great match ups.”
Cricket Scotland will also be hosting five 50 over CS Pro50 Trophy Series matches during the season, contested between the Reivers and the Highlanders. Fixtures and dates to be announced in due course.
