The Netherlands and Ireland were the victors on the opening day of the ICC European A Championships on Monday.
Peter Borren's 116 inspired the Netherlands to a win over Scotland, as the hosts made 240-8 in 50 overs.
In reply, Ryan Flannigan's 65 was not enough to save Scotland as it crumbled to 169 all out, with Tom Gruijters recording figures of 4-16 and Geert Maarten Mol taking 3-26.
In the other game of the day, Denmark was restricted to 145-8 off 50 overs, before Paul Stirling's 39 helped Ireland achieve a five-wicket win.
