Ireland retains European A Championship title

Ireland retained its ICC European A Championship after a 78-run win over Scotland on Thursday.
Reinhardt Strydom smashed 64, reaching his 50 off just 29 balls, and he received good support from Paul Stirling who made 35 as Ireland reached 198 all out off 47.2 overs, with Zeeshan Bashir taking 4-26.
Andrew Balbirne then bowled beautifully, taking 4-17, to reduce Scotland to 120 all out and handing the Irish the title.
In the other game of the day, the Netherlands beat Denmark by 42 runs.
